The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in Somerset are a partnership between Somerset NHS Foundation Trust (CAMHS) and Young Somerset, providing early intervention for mild-to-moderate mental health issues in schools. They support children aged 5–16 through 1:1 and group Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They also support the school in the whole school approach to wellbeing, and can offer small group support for help with exam stress as well as parent workshops and webinar
Our linked educational mental Health Practitioner EMHP is Ali Bryant. Ali works closely with the school to deliver support to young people or parent sessions, however there are also other EMHPs who may offer support.
MHST can offer Cognitive behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Depressions & Low Mood, General Anxiety & Worries, Phobias, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Separation Anxiety, Health Anxiety and Mild OCD. if you think this is a support you would like, you can speak to a member of staff or Mrs Purton directly, alternatively you can self refer using this link.
