At Preston, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of science in all our students and equip them with the knowledge they will need to navigate an ever more scientific world. We believe that all students should have the scientific literacy to be able to evaluate evidence critically – this way, they can explain the world around them and make healthy choices whilst becoming responsible citizens.
Our science curriculum is designed to build resilient learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to understand the world around them. It supports the school’s strapline of ‘Bringing Learning to Life and Life to Learning’, enabling students to make good progress and achieve excellence. By the end of the 5-year curriculum we aim to create responsible citizens who can make a positive contribution to society.
