We are exceptionally proud of our extra-curricular offering, particularly our lunchtime and after school clubs. This is something we encourage all students to take full advantage of. You can find out more about the clubs currently running below.

Book Club - Key Stage 4

KS4 Book Club - Students will select, read and discuss a novel. This will build their cultural capital, expose them to themes, characters and ideas that can help them deepen their understanding of their academic studies, and simply hone a love of the written word. This club is all about teamwork, skill-building, and a love for the game. Our club is the perfect place for boys to stay active, build strength, and have fun after school. Designed for all fitness levels, we focus on developing physical skills, teamwork, and confidence through a variety of gym-based activities. Coding Club

Coding club is for all year groups interested in Computer Science! The club runs on a Wednesday Afternoon from 3-4pm in ILS2. The club is for learning new coding languages, using microbits, making games - and then testing them, extending work done in class, beginning to learn to fix and maintain computers.

DofE Sessions

DofE will be launched in assemblies to relevant year groups and students will be invited to specific DofE events as part of their programme.

DT Product Design, GCSE Food and Cambridge National Child Development

Practical sessions offered after school on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays to help improve the practical outcomes for students. This runs in Room 18 from 3pm until 4pm.

Eco Club - Afterschool

Afterschool club for working with eco schools curriculum to gain a blue flag for the school in regards to its level of sustainability and ecological friendliness. The days and dates are arranged during Eco club lunchtime meetings to accommodate the current project.

Eco Club - Lunchtimes

Following Eco Schools curriculum to increase the ecological sustainability of Preston School. Takes place in room 30 with Mrs Franks from 1.15pm - 1.40pm every Thursday. There will also be some Thursday after school sessions, students will be notified of these at the lunchtime meetings. These meetings are used to discuss new projects and ideas, progress of current projects and fundraising.

Pages of You

A cosy little club where pens meet cake, and thoughts meet tea. We mix journaling, creative writing, oil diffusers and a dash of meditation to give your mind some breathing space. Come for the calm, stay for the community (and definitely the cake). We meet in the library at 3pm on Wednesdays - open to all. Please bring a notebook if you can.

Race Engineering (Kit Car Club)

Our Race Engineering Team develop, maintain and race an electric racing car in the Greenpower Challenge, a national race series for Schools, Colleges and Universities. We race at venues all over the country, including the prestigious Goodwood Circuit in Sussex. We meet every Thursday and Friday from 3.00pm - 4.00pm.

Yoga for beginners

Unwind after a busy school day with our beginner-friendly Yoga Club, held every Tuesday from 3:15 – 4:00 PM in the Dance Studio. This calming session focuses on gentle stretching, building strength, and improving flexibility. Each session ends with a short mindfulness or meditation practice to help you relax and reset. No experience needed – everyone is welcome!
