Preston School is an 11-16 Academy where everyone, both students and staff, constantly strives to be the best that we can be. We value every person in our school community and we are driven by an underlying ethos of respect, self-improvement and a ‘can-do attitude’ in everything that we do. Our Business & Enterprise specialism adds a unique dimension to the great education that we offer.

Preston School is a happy and vibrant learning community, and as such traditional values of discipline, hard-work and good behaviour are combined with leading edge practice in teaching and learning. We work tirelessly to prepare our students to be good people who are fully-prepared for life beyond school in twenty-first century Britain and we all strive to be ‘great’ in everything that we do.

We want our young people to be the very best they can be, academically and socially, and everything that we do at Preston supports them in achieving this. All of the staff at the school work extremely hard to provide the students with the skills, knowledge and experiences that will help them develop into happy, educated young adults with the desire and drive to succeed in whichever career they choose.

Our lessons bear out our strapline of ‘Bringing Learning to Life & Life to Learning’ as we want learning to be enjoyable, but we also believe that there is no substitute for commitment, attention to detail and hard work from students. We assist the development of students’ personal attributes, such as communication, team working and a strong work ethic through our Business & Enterprise specialism, our unique ‘Schools of Learning’ and the deep care and support we provide. We expect all students to constantly strive to further improve themselves and we challenge them to do so in a supportive environment.

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that you will find it stimulating and informative and that it will inspire you to find out more about the school of which we are all so proud.
