We are proud to announce that Preston School has been appointed as an Expert Centre to act as a local hub for the national Global Learning Programme (GLP). Nearly 5000 schools in England are already working with the GLP to support the delivery of a richer curriculum, and develop pupils’ knowledge and skills across the curriculum. Highlighted positively in inspection reports and flagged by Ofsted to inspectors, the GLP also supports the teaching of SMSC and ‘British values’, and could now play an even more important role in the outcome of a school inspection.*

Our new Expert Centre role enables us to work with schools in the area to support raising standards by encouraging engaging and effective teaching and learning about global issues through a wide range of subjects at Key Stages 2 and 3.
